A Season of Joy and Community Spirit at Chung Hok House

December 20, 2024

During this festive season, we reflect on the wonderful Christmas activities held at Chung Hok House. These events not only brought festive cheer but also focused on enhancing the wellbeing and togetherness of our Chung Hok Hose customers. Here’s a glimpse of the magic that unfolded in our community:

Chung Hok House Gathering

On the 9th of December, the Chung Hok House Residents Association hosted a delightful evening. Customers came together to enjoy a special Chinese takeaway, sharing stories and laughter, creating memories that surely will last until next Christmas. It was an evening marked by warmth and shared community spirit.

Annual Xmas Lunch

On a bright Tuesday 10th of December, we celebrated our annual Christmas Lunch event with our residents. The lunches, kindly donated by our partners at The Florrie, included a lovely roast dinner complete with all the trimmings: roast meat, Yorkshire pudding, and fluffy potatoes. It was a joy to see our diverse customers enjoying the Christmas celebration in a traditionally British way, with smiles all around in the warm festive atmosphere.

Love to Move and Wellbeing Game

Our wellbeing-focused event on the 11th of December, facilitated by Chinese Wellbeing, included a variety of activities designed to uplift both physical and mental health. From a captivating GuZheng performance to chair exercises and interactive games like bingo, the event was a resounding success. The handcraft workshops and the sumptuous buffet added an extra layer of enjoyment to the festivities.

Christmas Carol Event

The morning of December 13th resonated with the sound of carols hosted by the Liverpool Chinese Gospel Church. This event was not just about singing but also included games and a thoughtful Christmas gift from the church to our customers, spreading joy and festive spirit.

Christmas Musical Party

The festive mood continued on the 17th of December with a musical party hosted by Pagoda Arts. This gathering was filled with Chinese music, refreshments, and interactive games, ensuring that our customers experienced joy and companionship during this special time of the year.

Special thanks to our partners and colleagues

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the colleagues and partners who have made these festive events possible. Their support and collaboration have been instrumental in bringing these wonderful activities to life, and their commitment to our community is deeply appreciated. A special thank you to Liverpool Chinese Gospel Church, The Florrie, Chinese Wellbeing, Pagoda Art, and the Chung Hok House Residents Association for their invaluable contributions.
