Pine Court Housing Association, part of The Sovini Group, recently donated over £2k worth of food and essential supplies to local charitable organisation, The Florrie.
In an effort to tackle food poverty in the L8 community, Pine Court Housing Association teamed up with The Florrie to provide much needed food and essential supplies to local residents.
Established in 1889, The Florence Institute for Boys (better known as The Florrie) operates as a social and educational hub for the people of south Liverpool. In response to COVID-19 The Florrie have been delivering hot food, food hampers and hygiene supplies to members of the L8 community.
As members of Black Minority Ethnic (BME) National, Pine Court Housing Association is the leading social housing provider for the Chinese community in Merseyside and in addition to food donations their bi-lingual staff have been keeping in regular contact with over 25% of customers who are elderly and vulnerable to ensure they are sufficiently supported.
Anne Lundon, Chief Executive Officer of The Florence Institute for Boys, said:
